Issue JWQL-54 was created on JIRA by Rosa Diaz:

Rationale: Critical for target acq, as these pixels are flagged and excluded from centroid calculations.

Input Data: Dark current exposures

Algorithm: Can be combined with dark current monitor. Ratio of slope image from dark current ramp to a baseline dark slope image. Flag any newly hot pixels with large values in the ratio image, or signal rates above some threshold

Output to trend: Hot pixel population

Comment by Bryan Hilbert on JIRA:

The bad pixel monitor currently in use does provide a map and database entry of potential new hot pixels. It also presents a trending plot of new hot pixels found over time. So I think a separate hot pixel monitor is probably not necessary. We could always tweak the outputs of the bad pixel monitor if teams want more detailed information on hot pixels.
