It might be useful to add logging to the monitors

Definitely need to add logging. This will greatly help with debugging and keeping track of various things (both about the monitors and about the data).

The logging should have (at minimum) info, warning, and error levels. This logging will actually be included with the report that generated from the monitor runner (since pytest collects logging output during execution)
