email commands : restricted to list owners #1

Hello,

I'm trying to automate the adding of users to a list. To do that I'm sending an email from webmaster@example.com to sympa@example.com.

I always get this response :

ADD ...
Adding a user to the list is restricted to list owners.

Am I doing something wrong ? How does SYMPA check if the email comes from the list owner ?

Thanks !

PS : the email is sent via the domain's SMTP server
