Background

Eurybates is a library that is used to send messages to different ActiveMQ Queues to be consumed by different sets of consumers. Kafka was introduced but not utilized.

Requirements

  • Upgrade Kafka dependency to Kafka-clients 0.8.2.1 (Our Version of Kafka)
  • Upgrade SBT Build Plugins to Socrata Sbt Plugins
  • Configuration should determine what type of producer or consumer is used
  • The threading model should make sense
  • Documentation ... do it ... do it #1
  • Fix Jenkins Job #2
