Unable to hide a backend from a specific contact group #1302

Describe the bug
I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature request. There used to be a way to hide backends from all but the selected contact groups in the backend configuration. However that appears to have since been deprecated and doesn't work anyhow when I tried it. Can you still do this somehow?

This is all I have been able to find:

It should be fine again with: 3.08.3
