Meetup sunset their REST API and switched to a new GraphQL API. Background in snarfed/bridgy#1065 (comment). It evidently supports creating events, but it requires a Pro subscription, which is $30/mo last I checked. https://www.meetup.com/api/general/#graphQl-introduction

So, this is probably deprioritized.
