I have snaketail monitoring several log files. Every one of them is configured with "Display tab icon on log change".

It is quite inconsistent. Occasionally I get the litle colored dot on a tab when the log file changes, but most of the time when the log file changes there is no indication.

It would be a nice feature to have working correctly. Otherwise, snaketail is great.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't have a clue about how to fix this. Just reporting it.
