Hi,

I tried to install and try the utility in Linux (Pop_OS) but it never finishes syncing initial data (gets stuck at 63%). I would try to fix it myself but I am not yet familiarized with the project.

The Dat repository that it's trying to sync isn't fully available. I'm waiting for either the original full source to come back online or it may need to be recreated.

@bencevans thank u for the info. Let's hope it to be fixed. I see that the project is still on the go. I had my doubts.

@txusser I was able to successfully sync on Pop!_OS today. Is it working now for you?

For each datasource there are two Dat repositories, Feed and Content.

The initial sync your seeing is the sync of the Feed repository for the default eLife datasource.

The eLife datasource is currently fully available and mirrored by my server and I think on HashBase so the initial sync should be completing without issue.

The problem currently is that not all the papers from the Content repository is being mirrored thus only partially available. When you try to download some papers you may find that they won't finish downloading and this is because they're the files that aren't currently available.

To make them available a user that has a copy needs to come online so that my server and anyone else can download and mirror. This is being tracked in #172.
