Hello,
I can only clone the Git locally or download a .zip file that contains all the files. How do I install this program properly on my computer?

Is there an installer?

Thank you for your help

See "Releases" - https://github.com/samsonwang/LaunchyQt/releases for packages.

Thanks @greg4b, but I only have the files, not a installer or a installation method.
We can also not found this software as installed, if I only open the launchy.exe.
Any idea ? Thanks

You can unzip the packages into desired folder and run the exe
Since this is only unzipped this will not show up in the installed programs.

Personally I prefer zipped packages since those are "portable" and can be used on computers, where installation is not possible.

Hope this helps.

Thanks @greg4b - but with this workaround it will not start at every computer restart, no ?
I need to put manually the files in the startfolder ?
Thanks

You can create a shortcut (.lnk file) in C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
This will start Launchy when you log in.

Also, there are other ways.

Your favourite package manager may also have it, e.g., https://community.chocolatey.org/packages/launchyqt
