Residues of fim-opened window at the bottom of tmux

After opening an image with fim inside tmux running in a framebuffer, whenever the image is bigger than the screen's resolution there is a rest of the fim status bar on the bottom of tmux. It does not go away unless I switch to X and then back to tmux in the framebuffer. What could be the problem here? Screenshot with an exmaple attached.
