Dear Developer
I am interested to try your pipeline. Could you please add information how to install your pipeline via Conda?
Regards

Hello @ardy20,

Thank you so much for your interest in finder. We are currently moving away from Conda and adopting docker/singularity to execute finder. We do not have any plans to continue supporting conda environments in the future. We will soon publish the new pipeline.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Thank you.

Could you please provide a detailed manual for the Singularity users?
Could Finder be run on a local desktop computer as dockers are not usually supported on HPC cluster?
It will be needing Singularity which has complications to use on clusters.
Do you have any rough release date for your new version?
Thank you!

Hi,

Sure I will include that in our next version.
Finder will perform best if you provide it with a variety of tissue types and conditions. As such, local computers may not have sufficient memory/storage to support it
We will enforce the use of singularity/docker since it makes it very easy to handle software versions and eliminates clashes.
At the moment, we do not have a date set. sorry.

Thank you.

@sagnikbanerjee15 Can you elaborate on what you mean by "enforce the use of singularity/docker"?

Will it become impossible to run Finder without using a container?

If that's your intention, I would like to ask you to reconsider. We're currently actively working on adding support for installing Finder to EasyBuild
