Camera plugin causes crash in rviz2

ROS2 distro: Iron
Issue: rviz2 crashes whenever I try to add a camera plugin/display

To reproduce:

• Source Iron
• Start an rviz2 instance
• Add a camera plugin
• Set the topic to one with camera data (in my case from a Gazebo simulation)
• Rviz2 crashes (for me at least)

I have tested the exact same setup but rviz2 started from a terminal with Humble sourced instead of Iron, and the camera visualisation works as normal.

Thanks for reporting this issue. I'm able to reproduce this error even for version 12.4.2 but 12.4.1 works without the crash. @ahcorde any hints on what changes between these two versions might be causing the problem?
