Killed named mob before quest was given and mob won't spawn after quest given

Running quest "The Assault: Reclaiming Earthend!" Took quest from NPC Merlin, entered well. Fought mobs as asked. Was going after Akhom's commander after killing the three captains. I saw a named mob, General Akhom, and killed him before the commander. Then after killing the commander I was tasked to kill General Akhom. His marker did appear right where I fell him moments before. No respawn. Left the dungeon, game client closed. Restarted the client and logged in. Re-entered the well, no mobs to be seen. Abandoned the quest, reaccecpted from Merlin, entered the well and still no mobs. The quest currently asks me to 'Kill the 3 Anubian captains' but no mobs spawn in the dungeon now.
