Enjoyed your lightning talk at Python in Astronomy... I share your pet peeves about presentation plots.

Just a quick note that you may want to check out the new matplotlib styling feature here:

This may both help you to have a simpler way to implement your own project -- and if there are styles you think we should have to make presentations look better, we'd more than welcome a pull request.
