I can't install diversitree in linux (R version 4.1.0 (2021-05-18) -- "Camp Pontanezen") #31
Comments
I can install this on ubuntu 20.04/R 4.1.0: Details
The package is also compiling on R 4.1 on the CRAN check platforms: https://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_results_diversitree.html This is probably something broken in your local package installations - google suggests glibc? I can't provide general diversitree help I am sorry, and am no longer working in this field. |
Hi there Thanks a lot for your post, well not sure if is my linux version, or what, I had no problems with R4.0, but after self update I had to re-install all my packages, and just had troubles with diversitree. Best! Ricardo |
Hi there, just as a follow up The problem was the fftw3 compiler, I made an incorrect install, because sheared libraries was disabled so I had to remove the compiler directly from the console with sudo apt remove fftw3, and then re-install with the shared libraries option active ...ah...silly me :) |
Hi
I can Install diversitree, I am always having the error
/usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/libfftw3.a(assert.o): relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against symbol `stdout@@GLIBC_2.2.5' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [/usr/share/R/share/make/shlib.mk:10: diversitree.so] Error 1
ERROR: compilation failed for package ‘diversitree’
Even if I clone the github repository and install from the console, I am always getting the same error....
I am on linux mint 20.1, and yes I am sure I have the libfftw3 installed
libfftw3-dev is already the newest version (3.3.8-2ubuntu1).
Any help may be welcome
cheers
