I would really like to be able to use the quick copy feature so that I can insert citation keys directly into markdown.. Right now I have tried ctrl-shft-c alt-shft-c and a bunch of other alterations, but so far no luck
On top of that when I go to the debug it is saying there is a memory error. I am not getting any error when I am in zotero at all

Zotero doesn't report the out of memory error, but Zotero is in fact running out of memory (and BBT is likely the culprit). Zotero 6 on Windows has a hard limit on how much memory it can use, regardless of how much memory your system has. You will have to disable the BBT cache, or move to Zotero 7 beta.
To copy the citekeys in the way you want you need to go into the Zotero prefs, Export pane, set the Item Format to "Better BibTeX Quick Copy", and then go into the BBT prefs , Export pane, and set Quick copy to "Cite Keys".
