[Bug]: Cannot change 'Part Type' of existing part without creating new part

Describe the bug and the steps to reproduce it

If a part with 'Part Type' aet as 'IC' exists in the database and User tries to change 'Part Type' of this part
Then

• All metadata of part is removed
• Metadata is not refreshed
• After pressing 'Save' User is informed about duplicate parts in the database
  Expected behaviour
• 'Part Type; is changed to selected
• After pressing 'Save' Part is saved with the new 'Part Type'

I encountered this problem only for parts with 'Part Type' set to IC.

Same for me, same setup, I tried changing a capacitor that I had imported wrongly as an IC to a cap and it did the same

Same problem for me. Quite a bit of resistors and some equipment are wrongly categorized as ICs (maybe that is a separate bug. )

I'm still working to reproduce this one, haven't been able to so far.
