Issue in building project on import in android studio

i am using readium sdk in my project. when i try to import the project in my android stuio then getting the error.

Cause: com/android/build/gradle/AppPlugin : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0

What revision / branch of the readium-sdk project are you using?

develop?

What is your version of Android Studio?
Can you please also report whether or not Android Studio installed the latest platform-tools, etc. during its automatic updates?
Whilst you check this, please also verify which NDK bundle is installed with Android Studio.
