I looked at the NEWS file to see when this was added and by whom. It was version 0.60, and (I was a bit surprised to see) by me.
I don't think I wrote those comments. The "magic" one looks like Martin Mächler.

I don't think it was Jürgen. I think I Iearned about the dataset either at Oxford or at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre before I went to Seattle.
