Learning rails-api

Our development group is completely new to rails. We are only going to be using rails (rails-api) to build RESTful services to drive Ember CLI front ends. What is the best source of learning material for the rails server component? All of the rails documentation, books, etc that I find give instructions on building full stack web applications using rails.
