I think this project is fantastic, Id like to use it it some of my project.

But, I tried some tests with it and it doesn't seem to work properly. I'll try again with more perseverance.

What's worrying me is there is no activity here since 6 mouths. Can we rely on this project?

I would not say it is dead. But it is rather inactive. I have on my todo to fix the broken builds and make sure the latest versions of all packages are compatible with each other.

Unfortunately we're getting close to removing Puli from our project. We're not far off going live and it's become more hassle than it's worth (eg still no release fixing assets being removed from the file system and incompatabile with PHP7 unless you stick with Composer 1.0.x). Which is a shame because it's a great idea.
