[Bug]: Psychopy crashing on startup with GTK-Error

Bug Description

After installing psychopy on linux (tried every python version and approach - conda, pip, manual), psychopy opens up showing the tooltip or some message to warn for a change in version. After closing the dialog box the following error appears:

Debug: "Shift+Tab" is not supported as a keyboard accelerator with GTK

and psychopy closes down. After running it again, same behavior this error:

Shift+Tab" is not supported as a keyboard accelerator with GTK
[xcb] Unknown sequence number while processing queue
[xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called
[xcb] Aborting, sorry about that.
python3.8: ../../src/xcb_io.c:269: poll_for_event: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed.
Aborted

I can not make it run, so I assume it is a bug, as I followed all installation instruction word by word. Help is much appreciated !
