Is there an existing request for this feature?

  • I have searched the existing issues for this feature request and I know that duplicates will be closed

Is your feature request related to a problem?

I have very many request to execute. My workflow is clicking on a request and then looking at the request body for every one of them (sometimes a hundred or more times a day). This means an unnecessary click over and over and over. It's unnecessarily maddening.

Describe the solution you'd like

Allow a preference for the default tab when opening requests.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Workspace script: i don't want to write a bunch of scripts to do this.
Keyboard shortcut: i don't want to replace hundreds of click with hundreds of keyboard shortcuts.

@rjouett Sorry that you're facing this. Can you elaborate a bit more? Are you opening 100s of new requests every day? How're you creating these requests?
Postman does remember the last tab that you opened for a request and the next time to open the same request it should open the last tab for that request. Is that not the case with you?
