Errors popping up while installing since wordpress 5.3

The following errors are popping up while installing inside the wp-headless container.

PHP Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /var/www/html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 168

I tried to use different wordpress versions using wp core download --force --version=5.3.1 inside install_wordpress.sh and i found out that the problem is occurring since wordpress 5.3. Wordpress 5.2.5 works fine. Can somebody please take a look at this. I don't know Wordpress myself.
