Transfer files from aws s3 to local #4913
-
I had previously set up my pocketbase server to save the images/files to S3. Is there any way to download them locally and continue using them. I don't want to save files to S3 anymore and want those files to be saved locally. |

There are a few golang s3 packages that talk to S3. se could create a issue or roadmap item to include this as an extension and so then it could be , I believe , part of a migration. Much lighter than the Amazon S3 golang code |

I am using this s3 which effectively mimic s3 using NATS object store . https://github.com/wpnpeiris/nats-gateway the NATS server is embedded with pocketbsse and it allows me to control where the files are stored. it’s used with marmot , which replicates the pockets db using nats. https://github.com/maxpert/marmot So both files and db are highly available effectively . if there is any interest I can rework it as either an extension or a module for PB, that is controlled by the Config or Admin gui . |

You can use external tools like rclone or s5cmd to download your files in
pb_data/storage
and then switch the toggle from the Admin UI storage settings.
