How can i select a value from an HTML select ?

Hello, I would like to select a value from a select tag, how can i do it ?
For exemple i would like to select "Hamster" from the select on this page: https://developer.mozilla.org/fr/docs/Web/HTML/Element/select

Something like that should work:

I was only able to get the content of the option tag in the select tag. But i still cannot figure how to select one of the option tag, like to have Hamster selected for exemple.
So how can i click on the el.value ?

When trying to use what you said i'm getting errors :

page.SelectOption undefined (type playwright.Page has no field or method SelectOption)
undefined: playwright.SelectOptionValues

i've imported : "github.com/mxschmitt/playwright-go"
And Goto, Type, Click, Content are working fine.

Oh yeah, thats because go mod uses the latest tag and I didn't publish a new tag yet because I run into issues with the type generation and have unfortunately not much time currently. Can you manually use master?

I found a solution for my issue with page.Evaluate().

page.Evaluate("document.getElementById('ID').value = 'VALUE'")
