Is there no one to maintain the extension? There is a problem with php8 compilation

#44 got merged a few hours ago. Although there isn't a package on pecl yet, you should be able to compile it against 8.0 from this repo now.

Version 1.2.0 (and 1.2.1) is now on PECL, if it was already solved it should be closed
