Prerequisites

Expected Behavior

Deskreen reacts fast on the third screen

Current Behavior

Deskreen worked like a charm on my machine running Windows 11. I had to reinstall this machine because of some issues with other software, so I did a fresh install of Windows 11. Now Deskreen responds very slowly on the third screen. It seems that I am missing some prerequisites or something because it worked fine before on the exact same machine. Any idea what could cause this?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install new version of Windows 11 Pro

  2. Install Deskreen

  3. Run Deskreen and connect to a Macbook Pro

Possible Solution (Not obligatory)

Context

Running Deskreen on Windows 11 and using a Macbook Pro as a third screen.

Your Environment

  • Node version :
  • Deskreen version or branch : Version: 2.0.4 (2.0.4)
  • Operating System and version : Windows 11 Pro

Hey there, randomly tried using this product on my win11 desktop today for the first time and couldn't get past the no wifi / no lan error when the application starts.

Based on this information: I attempted to correct by enabling wmic:

DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:WMIC~~~~

in admin powershell.

It didn't work for me, which is a bummer, but you could try it.

I narrowed it down to my Macbook having the issue. If I connect it to my Phone, the connection is fine. Have to dive into my Macbook to understand why it's laggy.

So, it works fluently on my iPhone and iPad, but not on my Macbook (anymore). Any idea what could cause that?
