Upgrade - Pattrn - Kafka - implementation

Hello,

Due the scripts and node modules need to be updated and some of them remove or replaced, I'm in step 1, trying to produce the "dist" version, Gulp script needs to be upgraded too, reshape the data integration from live data events from a streaming services like Apache Kafka could be possible.

Any recommendations in the implementation of Pattrn with Kafka?
Looks like this kind of integration could be a good academic example.

Plotting points (Events) could be used for more application other than conflicts, services, disease proliferation, wild life tracking, human concentration, development program reach, etc.

I haven't reviewed the code, step 2, to understand the process data read - > process -> plot, my guess is that will be possible to feed the plot plugin (leaflet) with any data produced by any ETL tool or API response, just changing the feed source configuration, static or dynamic.

The hard part of the project is already in place.
