Can you provide a stacktrace by running |

Ok, I ran in the same problem on another environment - this time it is Ubuntu 16.04.6 Any hints or assumptions what could be the reason? |
It could be related to this bug in JGIT: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=548682 |
Any news on that issue? happened to me as well |
Still an issue. Any timeline on resolution? |
Hi, I had the same problem with version: '0.12.3', and the Bug JGIT pointed by jchharris contains a comment which describes a fix based on the "HOME" environment variable. Solution

What happened?
I get following error message when executing gradle:
An exception occurred applying plugin request [id: 'com.palantir.git-version', version: '0.12.2']
In our
build.gradle
following line has been present:plugins {
id 'com.palantir.git-version' version '0.12.2'
}
When I change to version '0.12.1' everything works fine. For my collegues version '0.12.2' works, but we haven't found any misconfiguration.
I am using following configuration:
Gradle 6.0
Build time: 2019-11-08 18:12:12 UTC
Revision: 0a5b531749138f2f983f7c888fa7790bfc52d88a
Kotlin: 1.3.50
Groovy: 2.5.8
Ant: Apache Ant(TM) version 1.10.7 compiled on September 1 2019
JVM: 1.8.0_141 (Oracle Corporation 25.141-b15)
OS: Windows 10 10.0 amd64
git version 2.23.0.windows.1.
Any ideas, how I can resolve this issue or at least find the root cause? Tanks in advance!
