Wondering if either of these might be useful in case the user sees something interesting while watching the ways:

  • Pause button: freezes the screen where it is with current ways drawn. On unpause, would reload (not try to catch up)
  • Take me to this location button: launches new tab going to OSM.org using current location and zoom

The second bullet ppint is kind of implemented: clicking on the "x minutes ago" opens the current changeset on OSM.org. (Not sure if this feature was there a year ago, plus it is a bit hidden)

I wonder if it would be interesting to throw the last few changesets shown on a list or chyron or something so that someone who was sitting in front of the screen watching this could click for more information. You'd probably want it to be really light or toggle-able so that when it's used up on a projector it's not in the way.
