e.g vesselfinder.com, Strava

Why is it useful?
This helps prospective end-users find awesome software using OSM's mapping technologies. E.g a train map, cycling map, free weather map, etc.

This requires some effort to find and link the projects under the new category.

I see your point, but I fear there are too many projects which could fit under this Umbrella as OSM based maps are pretty common around the web - especially if you look at Mapbox. I think adding the category to the main list would clutter it, although I think adding another file could be a solution.

But this brings up a difficult question of how wide the scope for this list would be. For example, would Garmin GPS devices count? Would a social media app like Snapchat count? How about the app from HVV, our local transit company in Hamburg? All of those products use OpenStreetMap data for their services and all in their own special way, so it'd be difficult to draw a clear line.

I hope you can see what I'm getting at... 🫤
