Description

My phone is set to English, and OsmAnd is configured for Polish. Used as an app it works ok. When connecting to Android Auto for the first time (or run when AA is already conected), OsmAnd uses Polish on AA as expected (dispay, voice directions). When disconnected and connected again (wthout killing the app), it usually goes to English, and then does so for consecutive reconnections. TTS speaks rubbish etc.

Actual result

Wrong display and TTS language on Android Auto screen

Expected result

Expecting OsmAnd using configured language at all timesboth on the phone, the Android Auto screen and when giving voice directions.

OsmAnd 4.7.17, released: 2024-05-07 cannot be reproduced using AA simulator:

  • system language is set to Englishe
  • OsmAnd language is set to Polski (Android settings > apps > OsmAnd > Language > Polski )
  • when you connect your device to AA > every time AA language is set to Poslski

It is worth mentioning, that in the simulator "disconnection from AA and reconnection again" can be reproduced only by restarting the simulator. So it works fine every time for me.
