I agree, the current way of doing things is very complicated.
for example, if you have 2 points 10 km apart and you want to add a specific point halfway along the route, you have to zoom out to see one of the other points, then click on that point, then say you want a new point before or after it, then zoom back in on the place where you want to add the new point.
it's not easy.
