Issue with Oppia docker setup on Mac M1 - Progress Bar Continues Indefinitely

Which step are you stuck on?

I’m currently facing an issue with the Docker setup on my Mac M1. I’ve followed the installation instructions and the setup seems to be successful. However, when I start the server using the make run-devserver command, a progress bar appears with a message asking to wait until the development server starts up.

The issue is that this progress bar continues indefinitely and does not stop, even though the server started successfully (accessible at localhost:8181) first time. Post this, it produces ERROR 500 . It seems like the progress bar is not receiving the signal that the server is up (I'm not sure).

Approaches already used to resolve the issue

I’ve tried inserting export DOCKER_DEFAULT_PLATFORM=linux/amd64 into my shell configuration file, but it didn’t seem to help.

@Akhilesh-max Can you record a video showing the logs next to the docker dashboard, containers tab? I think one of the containers is crashing.

Thanks @gp201, interestingly, it was successful this time. Although I had tried this before, I’m glad it worked on this attempt.
For future reference, I executed make clean and then re-ran the build process. Additionally, I allocated more resources via the resources tab (in the settings options), which seemed to do the trick.
