I want to somehow get head tracking to work on my Xbox Series X console, which has not native support for head tracking. I'm exploring two ideas with one involving a company's gyroscopic right-stick replacement accessory for a controller and the second, hopefully, involving opentrack.
The right-stick on most (if not all) games governs head movement in-game so I need a device to replace the right-stick input. The Xbox enables two controllers to act as one (co-pilot) and there is an Xbox controller called the adaptive controller that can take an external wired electrical input. I would then plug a raspberry pi's output into the adaptive controller's input but, here's my question:
What would be the best way to get opentrack's output into the raspberry pi? I suspect it would be the UDP packets.
Alternatively, if anybody has a better idea for my overall objective to get head tracking on the Xbox, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
