How to increase entropy source strength while running openssl command line tool?

Hi All,

As one of our application runs on nonstop both itanium and X86 hardware,
I am trying to build openssl on these platform and link statically to our application.

I know earlier I had asked how to build openssl on nonstop platforms and come to know there is no much support related to this.
Currently though I am able to build openssl and even on x86 platform I am able to link to my application but
On Itanium platform I am getting entropy issue.
I know hardware randomization not supported on Itanium hence I use egd option to configure openssl as suggested on openssl site.
Still I get below error while running openssl command line tool.

How to increase entropy source strength while running openssl command line tool?

Not currently.

My attempt to implement NIST's SP 800-90x entropy strength increase was dismissed.
I don't remember the specific details.
