Paper builder fails if orcid is slightly malformed

This is very minor, but just thought I'd post it as a bug in case somebody wants to fix an "easy" bug to get their day started on the right foot!

Bug

I have a submission where the build failed, and the output kindly told me that one of the authors' ORCID was too long. It looked fine by eye, but I noticed that there was a leading space character " ". I think it should be the default behavior to trim the leading and trailing white space from these sort of strings where their length is hard coded to be a certain value?
