making a track or creating new track for midi clips. Then it is possible to send midi signals to synth/ sampler/ drumcomputer or virtual instrument (like Fabla / sorcer etc).

Hey, Thanks for the feature request - Indeed i think this would be awesome to have MIDI enabled looping. At some point in the past there was a prototype which enabled approximately the behaviour you describe - but the implementation was quite complex and not ready for production, hence it was never merged into main-line Luppp.

Given infinite time, this would already be done.. but unfortunatly I don't see myself getting this feature implemented anytime soon - just to not raise your expectations. Thanks again for requesting here, -Harry

Would GSoC interesting for some improvements of luppp?
I think something like midi tracks / other midi bindings would be a good project...

Hi JeeBee,

I'm not against the idea, but typically a GSoC application requires a slightly larger development team, and almosst always it requires a developer to make a commitment to help the student with getting set-up and reviewing thier work etc.

To be perfectly honest, I don't find much time for OpenAV things recently, so I am not in a position to make an application to GSoC. That's not to say that people aren't welcome to contribute to the code - but it is unlikely to be an official GSoC project.. For those interested, Mixxx DJ software have ran GSoCs before, perhaps they have a project suggested this year again?

Thanks for the suggestion/input, -Harry
