Description of the bug

rmf_visualization_obstacles CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:13

Could not find a package configuration file provided by "vision_msgs" with any of the following names:
vision_msgsConfig.cmake
vision_msgs-config.cmake

Steps to reproduce the bug

Followed instructions per building from source

Expected behavior

packages finished

Actual behavior

1 package fialed (rmf_visualization_obstacles)
multiple packages aborted and stderr output

ROS installation type
Source build

If you're building ROS 2 from source then it is your responsibility to build all dependency packages from source as well. In this case you need to also clone + build vision_msgs. To avoid such issues, we recommend using ROS 2 binaries so that you can install such dependencies via rosdep

tried with Binary installation,

  • rmf_building_map_tools not found, rmf_demos_maps failed
  • packages and stderr outputs
