So the Open Definition was updated (v2.1) in November 2015 https://blog.okfn.org/2015/11/10/announcement-open-definition-2-1/

The history of the What is Open Data page shows its last update before that on August 2015 https://github.com/okfn/opendatahandbook/blob/gh-pages/guide/en/what-is-open-data/index.md

Does the text on the page therefore need updating? Note the difference between the page and version 2.1

Open data is data that can be freely used, re-used and redistributed by anyone - subject only, at most, to the requirement to attribute and sharealike. Handbook

“Open means anyone can freely access, use, modify, and share for any purpose (subject, at most, to requirements that preserve provenance and openness).” Open Definition 2.1

It makes sense that the words should align. Just one thought is that one is speaking about "open data" and the other is speaking about "open".

Thanks for the question @BobHarper1. Interested to hear what others think.

And somehow the bulk requirement is gone in 2.1 (or at least made less explicit)
