Suggest we also give option of just opening and issue here in github with details - and then an editor will add it.

Generally agree. Also, a broader, but related issue: There is a lot to potentially break there, especially for someone not familiar with Jekyll / Yaml. I might be wrong, but I think even the example front matter on that page would break the build (Topic has a colon in it, so would need to be wrapped in quotes).
