I like the idea of study metadata. The proposal is great but we can perhaps go even further with possible metadata!

Make short description also mandatory study metadata

  • Enumerate the valid types in the template

  • provide example values for date format (and say overide this value) (you will end up with mess and variation)

consider CSV file for the study metadata

Good points. I've already seen 'Early Spring 2020' as a date, which I cannot parse automatically.

I don't think the CSV file will work, because people will forget to update it.
