Roadmap is pretty minimal. This is a good easy place to get some more material to help people understand the status of the project.

I have started working on some programmer-oriented documentation that will help people understand the structure of OCCAM, recommend some ways forward to modernize and repackage it, and suggest how to approach priorities in development (with a view to the capstone project ramping up soon). See related issue: occam-ra/occam#32

One of the side benefits of that documentation will be that it will give us a clearer view of how we might proceed. Once that document is a little more developed, it will provide a solid basis for a more detailed roadmap. Will post a working version when I get a little farther along.

Started programming overview docs here: https://github.com/gdcutting/occam/blob/master/doc/occam-structure.md

Perhaps should develop these primarily at .io repo instead of main?

This is more feasible now that we have a docs platform (https://occam.readthedocs.io/en/latest/). I am working on documentation related to design and planning for the code upgrade that will be taking place over the next few months. Producing some of that planning material will make it easy to build the roadmap, which is a very good goal (we want our team and other developers to be able to see exactly where we're headed with this so everyone can identify a best place to be working).

See here for roadmap planning: https://github.com/occam-ra/occam/projects/2

Need to work on a nicely formatted roadmap for the .io page.
