Just found this project. I recently contributed better support for testng to nvim-jdtls.
https://github.com/mfussenegger/nvim-jdtls/blob/master/lua/jdtls/testng.lua
https://github.com/mfussenegger/nvim-jdtls/blob/master/lua/jdtls/dap.lua -> make_config() and testng_runner()
