Describe the issue

It would be useful to provide some common functions available to the package maintainers. Here is a draft list of them (will expand in the future):

  • mv $package /usr/bin/$package && chmod a+x /usr/bin/$package

Argumentation

  • More clear package installers
  • Don't repeat yourself
  • Don't reinvent the wheel
