Understeer slider deactivated (MP4-30) - even with fork 1.5.9.2 from Fuzzwah #41

Hi,

I wanted to try irFFB with vJoy and everything works fine. But on my fav. car (MP4-30) the understeer slider is deactivated.
Then I found the solution (fork from Fuzzwah) because he added several cars (incl. the above mentioned one) to the app.

So I downloaded irffb.exe 1.5.9.2 and started everything. Could setup the Understeer slider (as with the original version) but if I start iRacing and go to test drive the MP4-30 and check the app in the background the understeer slider is greyed out again (and there is no feel for understeer).

What I´m missing here? :-)

Try a fresh start of irFFB settings.
Stop iRacing and irFFB. Move or rename or delete the irFFB.ini file located in your user login documents folder. This will reset the app settings. Start irFFB and iRacing.

Setup your irFFB.
Choose your 'FFB device' and your 'FFB type'. '60 Hz direct filtered' modes require vJoy installed and a vJoy device enabled with 'Enable Effects' active.
Run through the iRacing wheel calibration again. Go for a drive. Make 'Max force' slider adjustments. See if feedback is working.

Does it work now?

Only a small number of cars have had support for the understeer feature added. Hence why I've got a fork going to add more.

My version still doesn't support the MacLaren F1 car.

So what you're missing is asking me nicely to add it 😉

Oh - thx for the advice Fuzzwah. I thought I saw the MP4-30 in your release list for added understeer...? Then it´s clear and hopefully you will add it in a later release (and don´t forget the new merc W12 which is coming in 10 weeks ;-))

Thx @samkatakouzinosracing - this information also helps a lot. Didn´t know the irFFB.ini... so for sure this has to be deleted if I use another irFFB.exe.

mclarenmp4 is the 'McLaren MP4-12C GT3' and is listed.
mclarenmp430 is the 'McLaren MP4-30' and isn't listed.

It doesn't need to be deleted at all when upgrading irFFB. It was a recommendation to try and assist with this issue.

I realise though the issue is that mclarenmp4 isn't the 'McLaren MP4-30' that you request.
Therefore the request by @Fuzzwah to ask to have the mclarenmp430 'McLaren MP4-30' included appears valid.

Strange. Looks like I uploaded the wrong exe. I've uploaded the correct v1.5.9.3 one now.
