Yes, it's dead. I am no longer maintaining it.

Well, you have other choices of Python libraries. I want to pursue other interests and would rather not spend more time on it.

Thanks for liking it, though.

Thanks for the feedback, @nickoala. Could you maybe please update the readme for the repository with this information & a pointer to this issue here, then close this issue & archive the repository? That way, people won't inadvertently use the library without awareness of it not having support - which should push people into switching libraries, or maybe starting a fork.

i started using telepot since when i didn't knew the difference between if and elif.
Telepot is so easy to use, intuitive, and i never faced problems using it.
I still use it on 8 bots i've made, switching to a different libraries is a bit hard for me, and to be honest, i don't want to. I just hope someone who is happy with it will fork or maintain this repository.

@nickoala please archive this repository.

I assume that, after archiving, people can't post questions anymore. Although I rarely answer questions, there are some issues where people are still posting useful guidance and suggestions, e.g. #395. I will leave it as it is.

I understand the reasoning. However considering that the project is not being maintained, it might make sense to archive it sooner or later. Ultimately, a fork or another owner could drive this open source forward.

This will be your choice of course, but suggesting this option based on past OSS experience when libraries are not 'appropriately' archived or handed over:
