compute and store volume (and other functions) per ROI

there are lots of desirable functions of the ROI that we want to compute,
some before and some after registration.

eg,

• volume (before registration)
• ellipticity (before registration)
• deformation field eigenfunctions (assuming we use LDDMM to register)
