After starting image capture and turning off the display, no images are taken while on battery.

Everything works well, if the power supply is plugged in. Are there any settings, which can be changed on an Android device. I am using a Lenovo IdeaTab 2 A7-10.

There is one thing I can suggest:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select "Battery"
  3. Tap the action bar menu (three dots in the upper-right corner)
  4. Select "Battery Optimization"
  5. Tap the "Not Optimized" dropdown and select "All Apps"
  6. Select ChronoSnap
  7. Tap "Don't Optimize"

That should instruct Android not to optimize battery usage for that particular app. Although usually this is helpful, some apps (like ChronoSnap) will not work correctly with it enabled. Please let me know if that helps and I will add a note to the README.

Thank your for answering. I tried your suggestion, but the behaviour on my device is the same. It seams, that the service for taking images is stopped in battery mode, while the display is off.
